Bath Flash Fiction Award

Bath Flash Fiction Award

Hello, I thought you might be interested to know that my flash fiction “Acute intoxication” was commended in the Bath Flash Fiction Award. There were 869 entries from 28 different countries. I am thrilled to have this story recognised in a competition that attracts such a strong field of writers. The judge was Meg Pokrass, a leading American flash fiction writer and poet.

I love the precision of flash fiction in which every single word counts. To me, this forensic attention to language is enormously helpful to all of my writing.

You can read the story here: Acute intoxication

The judge’s report and other winning stories are here: Judge’s report

My other publications in the last couple of months have also been added to the publications page.
